Good god, you actually have some kind of clan feud going on? I was just leaning into the stereotype. Also, word to the wise from someone with experience at this sort of thing, someone who is being bribed by one party when presented with other bribes, has a tendency to turn things into an auction real quick. There's significantly more effective ways to deal with them than outbidding the other side temporarily.

...funny, I served with a Tom Hatfield in Korea. Claimed his great-grandma was one of the children that escaped the cabin ambush on New Years Eve. Never bothered to confirm it, but it made for a good story after chow hall.

They apparently have some full on militia fueds going on. People with guns? Militias? Like, from what I gathered, there's more people in West Kentucky or whatever shooting at people than I have seen in places that we deployed to as actual mercenaries??

I don't understand how this is a real country and the army hasn't come in to deal with it???
