An insane amount of pizza in the lounge around 7 pm. Also ice cream and sundae toppings. Come mix. Come mingle.

It has been brought to my attention that I do not really know many of the newer arrivals — I mean, I have faces and names, kinda, since we all live here, but you know.

Also, it was said that perhaps I could be more welcoming. But I take issue with that because I spent years making a living being social, and that kind of thing doesn't leave you.

Anyway, I was observing the holiday on Sunday — not Easter, the other one — and while hungry I thought... what if we have some kind of stupid ice cream and pizza mixer or something

I don't know, this is the kind of thing people do and you all give me so much shit for parties focused on drinking so I tried to come up with something lame but not lame.

Give it some thought.

Okay so that mutant Pride thing that I helped with last year - because I was asked, because I have extensive nightlife experience, but did not fully organize nor was I the impetus behind - is happening again in District X.

Next Saturday. Starts late. Drag, DJ (probably skewing more house than pop), drinks, mocktails. 21+.

I'm behind the bar for a few hours. Keeping the location closely guarded, just given everything, can share closer to the date.

Pride event

Okay, I probably should have mentioned this sooner, but it's been a busy few weeks, so forgive me.

There was a desire among some LGBTQIA+ mutants to do something specific in District X to mark Pride. Just something more intersectional and that caters to our crowd.

So a group of folks that includes me is throwing a party at a kind of underground space on Saturday night. A mix of DJ sets and drag performances, but mostly just a place where people can feel comfortable being open and themselves outside of the usual Pride hierarchy. And a space for people who don't feel comfortable at your standard muscle-men-focused gay bar (even though I will be bartending shirtless from midnight to 1 am, like I used to as your standard muscle-men-focused gay bar)

I guess I am kind of a shit party promoter/producer, but happy to provide full details. Starts late, if you're not a night owl. Music will be loud, if you're kind of a homebody.
